Amazing Duckumentary film made by cinematographer Ann Johnson Prum which is showing this week on PBS! I saw it on full screen in Litchfield for the first time. It features a pair of stunning wood ducks as stars of the video but a cast of at least 20 other ducks are featured. I saw Common Eiders soaring through the water, Wood Duck chicks jumping to the ground from a 30 foot tree top nest to rejoin their mother & charming Ruddies & Green Wing Teals strutting their wares at courtship time. Many of the scenes and ducks were shot right here in Connecticut at Livingston Ripley Waterfowl Conservancy. What a treat. If you missed it on TV, you can still watch it online for a while at http://www.pbs.org/wnet/nature/episodes/an-original-duckumentary/full-episode/8068/
